I have a 1984 Original Jeep CJ 7 Renegade. I purchased this CJ approximately 10 years ago after searching for 2 years for a low mile “correct” CJ. This CJ was driven from the hills of Tennessee to South Central Georgia immediately after purchase and remains a potential daily driver today. Since purchasing this vehicle I have performed the following: Cut and removed all rust to body tub and MIG weld new metal Treat all new metal with POR15 rust inhibitorRepainted the with the original Green paint - except the dash and all matches very well Replace body bushings, motor mounts and transmission mounts w/new urethane bushings Replace Steering Gear Box Replace Steering Shaft with dual “U” Joint style Install HD Steering Box Mount Install 4” Medium Duty Spring Lift Kit w/ Pittman Arm and Transmission Kit Install Axle Wedge Kit to align front axle to 6 degrees negative castor Install New Shocks and Steering Dampner Install New HD Spring Shackles w/1.5” lift Install Rear Sway Bar KitReplaced Power steering pump in June 2014Replaced radiator with new aluminum model in July of 2014 as well as thermostat.I bought this jeep in April 2004 with 19200 original miles. It is now just short of 26000 miles as of 5/8/2015.Always garage kept. Many other new parts - seals door parts etc. The hard top and doors and all glass are in excellent condition.
